ambush to catch the people of the Apache tribe. The next time the Apache people stole cattle, they followed them to their temporary camp where they attacked and killed several of them. The remainder of the tribe preferred to commit suicide rather than be killed by the white man. They jumped off the high cliff to their death. The Apache women sat near the cliff where they had jumped and cried for many days.
